While having a look at my September personal Budget vs Actual spend I thought it would be a good idea to share with you guys the excel planning template I use on a monthly to forecast my monthly spend and when the month end I use this file to record my actual expenditure for that month vs my budgeted values and from there I am able to see what the resulting variance is. If I have overspend, the file will highlight in red the overspend and if I was well within my budget, it would highlight in green to show that I’m doing something right.
Variances in red should raise an alarm in that you are overspending vs what you had said you will be spending. Click below link to download the excel template. Please note I will be adding updates to this file as time goes. #MoneyMonday
