Got Married, Had a Kid, Founded Atimeme, Blended in the Quarry & Now I’m Back to share what I’ve Learned Over The Years – An Intro!

“Guess who’s back / Back again / Shady’s back / Tell a friend / Guess who’s back, guess who’s back / Guess who’s back, guess who’s back / Guess who’s back, guess who’s back / Guess who’s back” Eminem

Sooo, its obviously been a million years since I put up a blog post! A lot has happened over the past few years – as my wife would put it, “I was in the quarry”.

Like I said, a lot has happened over the past few years and I’m looking forward to sharing that with our readers. Selfishly I also want to document my life and be able to see the different transitions that one goes through, in that maybe it will inspire me as well as inspire others in being a better version of themselves.

It’s the 10th of August 2022, four days away from my 33rd birthday – quite a milestone… Sooooo what’s been happening in my life???

I got married on the 30th of April 2022 to my best friend and also a former contributor to this online blog, like I said – we’ve been in the quarry. Since my last blog post I’ve changed jobs 2 times, I was in the FMCG space, moved on to being an arms dealer lol – just kidding, I joined mining early 2020 in the Commercial Explosives space working for an Australian multinational. I recently made a daring jump in my career and joined the Media & Entertainment space. Those who know me would testify on the love and passion I have for Tech and Data, this transition from a B2B to a B2C has really brought my analytical skill-set into existence, plus the streaming wars have started so its great to be in a space that’s forever changing, fast paced and where innovation reigns supreme. Will share more on my professional journey in upcoming articles. But to sum it up – its been a beautiful ride and I’m overly thankful for all the opportunities I’ve gotten to play a role in building world class businesses.

HEY!! I’m a dad now! I’ve got a 3-year-old daughter – her name is Amari, a Swahili name because I’m an African ‘rolls eyes’. Amari in Swahili means strength and what a bundle of energy she is – more on her later 😊. And oh, we founded Atimeme as well, a Meme Social Media app that has been doing its rounds in Mzanzi and the rest of Africa – quite excited for what lies ahead with this project – it’s a humor social media so you can imagine from an admin point of view I get to indirectly consume the meme humor and magic that our users create; can’t brag about how liberating that has been – constantly laughing and sharing that magic with the rest of the world, Atimeme is literally a virtual antidepressant. Also founded Sekhukhune Mentors App, became the chairperson of the Strength of St Mark’s College. A lot has happened ya’ll!

I’ve been plotting my return to the blogging world for some time now, although I’ve really got a LOT to share I thought it best to phase this out in a series of articles over the coming months. How do we eat an elephant a wise man once asked? Piece by piece! Be on the lookout for some daring overly genius articles to drop – not from myself only of course as we here at Genius Level are a community.

Ond oh – I’m Kagiso by the way, founder and editor of Genius Level Blog – flippen excited for what lies ahead!
