Wait is the ANC considering an early elective conference? What could this possibly mean for the top 6 of the ANC as things stand? The young lions are adamant an early elective conference is the way to go, although this sound like a solution to the problems (problems pertaining to leaders) the organization is facing there is also a downside to this…

If the early conference will be turned into a blame conference, then the ANC might come out even weaker, this has always been the case with previously held conferences. Factionalism dominates them to a point where they even end up weakening the organization. It is going to be a lot of blood spill and head rolls I can assure you. However there is an easy way out, the top bras can resign and that way they won’t contest during the early elective conference. But like Cde Mantashe said if one leader goes, they all must go, that is collective responsibility for you.

Finally the ANCYL has woken up, they have realized struggle credentials don’t basically make one a good leader; the question is can we have a young ANC president? Who will that be because as it stands the ANCYL has suffered a silent deliberate and well planned death most probably orchestrated by the ANC. And they renewed persistent calls for an early conference suggest they have a hat trick that they will pull if the elective conference is indeed realized, it’s obvious support for the current leadership is no more and whether they are going to be able to convince the current top brass’s not to contest the next elections remains to be seen.
