Quick follow up on the Chomi you are fat article, I have lost 2kg! That is not a lot but it’s a start and cause I fell when #Fillingupthedome I have been having issues keeping to my exercise routine! Also, since Easter I really haven’t been feeling like eating healthy and being strict on my diet! *Ke rata dijo tse unhealthy and keitswafa maan* Do you hear, what I hear? Excuses! Excuses!

What I am learning is, if you make excuses in one aspect of your life! They tend to have a life of their own and creep up on all other aspects! “Mommy, play soccer with me” “No, I am tired, let me just sit here for a minute and I’ll come” *at this time, we both know I ain’t moving from that chair Shem!* and you know what is the biggest shame with excuses? You don’t grow, because you don’t take ownership! It is always someone else’s fault! *Hence people always go to those fire! Fire churches, because someone doesn’t want them to succeed right? Someone is tying their blessings akere? It has nothing to do with them, no ma’am, absolutely nothing!*But I learned a long time ago, sometimes, just sometimes, looking at yourself, really looking at yourself, frees you!

So, I am taking my health back, leaving it all in my hands! I refuse to be a size 40 shem! Aowa! If that’s what you want, nna keagana “THE epidemic of health style diseases, diabetes, heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure, is one of the major factors taking its toll on South African medical aids”, Discovery Health chief executive Jonathan Broomberg says in the Herald. “A lack of physical activity is the new smoking,” he said, explaining that the fast-rising numbers of people diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease, all caused by unhealthy lifestyles, were taking its toll on medical aids. So, not only is our diets causing us issues, its hurting our pockets too! And I know most can say this is a middle class problem but obesity affects everyone. “The minister of health has said himself that the cost of cardiovascular disease, wheelchairs and amputations [most often necessitated by diabetes] could break the public health system.” Family medicine specialist Dr Don Papuma as reported by the Herald.

I have joined a weight loss challenge at work and went to Gym again yesterday after a long while and I really do need to get my knee checked! And I will keep you updated! I get weighed every Friday by the way! So, here goes.
