Where are you from, are currently and are headed, both personally and professionally?

Originally born and raised in Mthatha. Moved to East London in 2003. Headed to Joburg in 2009 to study Animation at Boston Media House. I unfortunately dropped out due to fees. However,I focused on my dreams. Moved back to E.L. Did some soul searching and ended up being a Barman and a Barista at Cafe Neo where I’m currently employed. Personally my direction right now in life is more of a transformation; physically, spiritually and mentally.

Professionally,I am headed towards going digital. I have seen that I am my own series, production and entertainment wise. I wish to eventually become my own Marvel/Disney.

What did you study and what were your motivations behind it?

I studied Media at Boston Media House, bbut wanted to major in Animation. The motive behind that was to keep my dream of being a comic book artist alive. That dream evolved into becoming my digital corporate company.

Who/what inspired you to embark on this journey and why?

Originally I was inspired by drawing Spiderman shooting his webs. But if I had to say who inspired me… honestly? I inspired myself because I dared to not just dream, but to pursue that dream. That dream was challenged, constantly. I even reached a point I felt like I made a career mistake. I wanted to quit because I was scared of failure. I failed so many times that I lost count. But through God’s grace and a healthy support system, here I am today.

Any words of encouragement for our readers and anyone who may be considering following the same career path?

The greatest enemy you will face on your path is YOU. I know what’s it like. The fire. The determination and will to win….something loved ones can’t understand. I know, it hurts sometimes and you want to give up,but don’t. Live and learn because destiny needs you to fulfill God’s plan. A plan for you to not only win, but to live life to the fullest. You’re gifted. You’re the future. You’re the architect of your dreams. God is giving you the tools to make them come true. Much love.

Now for a bit of fun!

What was your worst moment of 2016?

Having to rename Junior “Zippy”! Longest week of my life! *looks down* I’m sorry, buddy.

What would your first duty be if you were President of South Africa for a day?

I would PARTY! I mean, I’ve got the stacks, right? Why not!

What is your favorite movie?

Easy: Logan. Seeing Hugh Jackman finally content with himself as Wolverine made the entire Wolverine Franchise.
