Conversation With A Girl that Wasn’t There…

The real question I really wanted to ask her was: Why the hell are you not here
Telepathic in her senses she replied: you not yet ready to receive me
Cunning in my ways I tried to smooth-talk her
Her never being there, she reminded me that I would really just be trying to convince myself from what I already knew… I wasn’t ready to receive her

The seconds seemed to accumulate quickly into minutes and then into hours
She spoke on love and how she defined it to be a soul’s recognition of its counterpart
She told stories of how the world converges to give you the things you so desire at the right time
Stories of crying mockingbirds, cursed eagles born with a single wing and broken hearts that could never be sown back together…

We conversed a bit on the complexities of the universe, the anomalies that happen within the Bermuda Triangle
Made plans to one day skinny dip in the ever so famous presidential fire pool
we chatted a bit on the state of hip hop and was so overly amazed at how her views flew parallel to mine
A well rounded being, it was evident from the very start that she was the right fit….

Told me about her pursuit to take over the corporate world and her planned contributions to woman inequality
she spoke with so much passion she reminded me very much of my self
the way her eyes lit up when she spoke of her goals and the way she emphasized with her hands mimicking the movement of a choir conductor

The last thing she said was I will wait for you…
but she was never there… and if she was, like a sloppy cardio-thoracis surgeon I would drop her heart
So with time being the teacher, I will strive to be better for her
but she was never there, so I will wait for her instead

Until the day she reveals herself…
